About us
Ticket To Ride is a bike hire and cyclist transport service operating throughout the Highlands of Scotland. Since we started the business in 2007 we have concentrated on providing the best bikes, accessories and advice.
Visitors to the Scottish Highlands can choose from a wide range of cycling trips. Loch Ness is always a big attraction but extended tours to the far north and long distance routes like the Great Glen Way and Speyside Way are popular too. We collaborate with holiday companies like Velodays to provide a full cycling holiday service and Highlands and Islands Adventures work with us when our customers require a guide.
Our mobile bike hire service takes the hassle out of hiring bikes and allows us to serve customers beyond the reach of a city centre bike hire shop. Large country houses and estates are increasingly offering their guests the opportunity to go cycling in addition to the more traditional country sports and we're happy to help them provide the high quality of service their clients demand.
Our cyclist transport service grew out of the needs of cyclists completing long distance routes. We help them to get home in comfort after completing their trip. This service is also appreciated by our bike hire customers who can be cycling along the scenic west coast within two hours of arriving at the airport or stepping off the train in Inverness.
We provide bikes, logistical support and backup to the participants and organisers of many cycling events and charity challenges including First Monster and Nokia Coast to Coast. In 2010 we supported the inaugural UCAN MoGJoG a 4 day, 433 mile cycling challenge from Mull of Galloway, the southernmost point in Scotland, to John O'Groats in the far north. We look forward to supporting the UCAN Ride the North challenge in 2011.
We are committed to continuous improvement and ask all customers to complete a feedback questionnaire. We are delighted to report that 100% of respondents in 2010 said they would recommend our service.
We are members of the Association of Cycle Traders and subscribe to the Cyclists Touring Club Cycle Hire Code. We also campaign for a better cycling environment through the Highland Cycle Campaign.
